Install Brushes

1.Download a brush file/folder [abr file](note: make sure it's compatible with your version of Photo Shop)also it's best if you save it under your "brushes" folder in Local Disk it's easier to access [to find the folder go to >my computer> local disk> program files> Adobe> (your photo shop eg. Photo Shop 7)> Presents> Brushes> Make your own folder to put all your brushes in.

2.Go to the file/folder where it's saved and if your folder looks like this (click here). We have to compress the zip folder.

3.With the Zip file Right Click and press Extract All it should look like this before you clicked it (click here).

4.After you clicked it this should pop up (click here)
. It is called Extraction Wizard, this extracts the folder so you can access the inside the folder. In other words the folder is protected and we have to un-protected. On the Extraction Wizard click next> next> finish.

5.Afterwards you should see the Zip folder and the normal folder, you may leave the Zip folder or you can delete it either way you don't need to use it anymore, but you can store it for back up incase your brush gets deleted.

6.Check if the file type of the brush is "ABR" if it's not Abr file, you may have downloaded something else or it can be a virus! make sure you run your anti virus straight away if its not a "Abr" file type!.

7.Open up your Photo Shop program [ill be using Photo Shop 7.0 for this tutorial] and select your brush icon on the far left, confused? use photo direction(click here).

8.Under "Layers" on the top navagation bar, click on the arrow (next to the brush preview your using) and drag down list will appear, click on "load brushes.." confused?, use photo direction (click here)

9.It should already direct you to "Brushes" just click on you folder and select the "brush a.k.a ABR file", double-click then BAM your brush is successfully installed and read to use, confused? use photo direction (click here).

10.Click on preview of the brush and drag down and select the brush you just installed and use it =]. confused? use photo direction (click here)
